Director Statement As a kid I was always curious about the story of Jesus and how the Bible Story unfolded. I never thought for a second I’d actually walk in the exact spots Jesus walked and relive those events through Mass and prayer and retell the story from my perspective. There were many times I fell away from the faith and every time I came back and decided to get serious about it, things would turn around for the better. Everything came full circle once I stepped into this land. The Holy Land taught me what it truly means to be Catholic but also how to keep your heart and mind open to endless possibilities and see the good in every situation. This project reminded me of the many reasons why I love filmmaking, to capture big moments and to tell many inspiring stories while also opening my eyes to many different cultures. I’ve captured many different events throughout my career from President Obama’s motorcade driving through Havana and the Rolling Stones playing their first concert in Cuba to the tune of half a million people, to a red carpet event commemorating the 20th anniversary of David Wells’ Perfect Game to ultimately celebrating the biggest Mass of our lives in the Tomb of Christ.

The goal of this film is not only to see the experience of mine and my fellow pilgrims, but to show what faith can do for someone and how the story of Jesus can impact anyone regardless of their faith and walk of life. The world needs to know about these stories and to know that there is always hope, to never give up on anything. God can turn around any situation. Every Christian needs to come to the Holy Land to relive Salvation History and cultivate their faith.
